EU Transparency Rules Move AI Content Marking Into Deployment
The European Commission’s transparency code supports requirements for providers and deployers to mark AI-generated or manipulated content in detectable formats. The obligations cover generated media, deepfakes and certain public-interest publications under [Article 50 guidance](https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/policies/code-practice-ai-generated-content).
Anthropic’s implementation applies invisible signals to generated text and provenance information to files. Reporting says the approach can also mark material that Claude merely edited or translated, while short passages, extensive rewriting and stripped metadata may reduce detection reliability ([Axios](https://www.axios.com/2026/08/12/anthropic-claude-watermarks-ai-detection)).
The response has divided users. Supporters view machine-readable provenance as a useful disclosure mechanism, while others question whether proofreading, translation and code workflows could be mislabeled as fully AI-authored.
Claude in Chrome Adds Shared Sessions, Skills and Connectors
The update is rolling out first to Max and Team, with Pro access scheduled for the coming weeks. Shared sessions address a previous limitation in which browser-side work could not be resumed cleanly from other Claude surfaces.
Claude’s side panel can read pages, click, type, navigate and fill forms. Anthropic also documents Claude Code integration for design verification, browser testing and debugging through console errors, network requests and DOM state in its [setup guide](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/12012173-get-started-with-claude-in-chrome).
Some local capabilities still depend on the desktop app and device-side access. Anthropic’s [Cowork platform guide](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/15520349-use-claude-cowork-on-web-desktop-and-mobile) distinguishes remote sessions from local files, local connectors and browser access.
SpaceXAI Releases Grok 4.6 for Coding and Long-Running Agents
The model is positioned for tool-heavy work, iterative verification and project execution. It became available through the API and appeared in Grok Build, Cursor and OpenClaw ([SpaceXAI announcement](https://x.ai/news/grok-4-6), [pricing](https://docs.x.ai/developers/pricing)).
Early examples included asking an agent to find and install software without manual setup, and processing a video by raising its audio 10 dB while adding compression and limiting. Code Arena reported a score of 1618 and a No. 7 placement, compared with 1553 and No. 13 for Grok 4.5.
Users highlighted the price and end-to-end execution, while others cautioned that agents connected to local environments or private repositories require strict permissions and sandboxing. SuperGrok users also received a one-time allowance reset that does not stack and carries an expiry date.
Google DeepMind Brings ASL-to-English Input to Pixel 11
The feature lets Deaf and hard-of-hearing users sign into ordinary text fields for search, messages, documents and Gemini requests. In Live Transcribe, users can sign responses instead of typing during a conversation.
The launch drew support for applying AI to accessibility rather than only media generation. Other responses asked how signing speed and accuracy compare with typing or swipe input for fluent ASL users, and how well the system handles signer, lighting and camera variation.
Initial availability is limited to Pixel 11 and ASL-to-English. Google’s existing [Live Transcribe documentation](https://support.google.com/accessibility/android/answer/9158064?hl=en) describes the broader Android transcription service into which the new capability is being integrated.
