Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) says crypto will power autonomous payments between AI agents, and that adoption will arrive in a "matter of months, not years." At Davos in January 2026, CZ argued that "the native currency of AI agents will be cryptocurrency" and that "blockchain will become the most natural technical interface for AI agents." In March he went further, saying "AI agents will make one million times more payments than humans, and they will use crypto." Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong voiced a similar view around the same time (CCN, Yahoo Finance).
