On June 23, 2026, Anthropic unveiled Claude Tag, an agentic AI teammate that lives permanently inside Slack as @Claude. By tagging @Claude, users can delegate tasks, and Claude accesses selected channels, connects to tools, data and codebases, retains context, and autonomously plans and executes work. According to the official announcement, the feature launches as a beta/research preview for Claude Enterprise and Team plans, with expansion to other platforms planned.
