Alibaba has issued an internal directive barring employees from using Anthropic's AI coding tool Claude Code in the workplace starting July 10, 2026, according to multiple media reports. The company has classified Claude Code as "high-risk software" and is recommending its in-house coding platform Qoder as a replacement.
