On July 7, 2026, Meta began rolling out Muse Image, the first dedicated image-generation AI model built by Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), across its Meta AI chatbot, Instagram and WhatsApp. Alongside text-to-image generation, the model supports editing existing images and blending multiple photos, and is set to expand to Facebook, Messenger and the Advantage+ ad tools, with separate access for advertisers (Bloomberg).
