OpenAI Announces 'Build Week' Starting July 13, Centered on Codex

OpenAI will hold a week-long global developer event, "OpenAI Build Week," beginning July 13, calling on builders worldwide to bring their own ideas to life using its AI coding agent, Codex. Hackathons, workshops and meetups are planned across cities including Tokyo, Delhi NCR (set for July 14), Dubai, Melbourne, Paris and Kuala Lumpur, alongside virtual build challenges and livestreams. The company urged participants to "bring the idea sitting in your backlog and build it with Codex," and opened registration.
