On June 16, 2026, at Coherent Corp.'s facility in Sherman, Texas, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and Coherent CEO Jim Anderson joined local leaders to break ground on an expansion of advanced photonics manufacturing capacity for AI data centers. The expansion will double manufacturing space and quadruple wafer production capacity, and is expected to create more than 1,000 jobs, including over 550 advanced manufacturing and engineering roles.
