A community-built extension released in early July 2026 lets multiple humans and multiple AI agents work in the same Claude Code session at once, in what its authors call a "multiplayer" mode. Developer @dorsa_rohani and others published a demo showing several people joining a single terminal environment in real time, while multiple connected Claude instances also communicate with one another. The concept resembles Google Docs–style real-time co-editing applied to an AI coding agent.
