A free integration called "Voice Satellite" that turns tablets, phones and PC browsers into voice-assistant endpoints for Home Assistant without dedicated hardware has been released. The custom integration lets any browser act as a Home Assistant Assist satellite device, handling wake word detection, STT/conversation/TTS pipeline routing, timers, announcements, media playback and visual feedback. It notably replicates the capabilities of a physical Voice Preview Edition device or a Wyoming satellite using existing hardware.
