OpenAI has rolled out a cluster of open-source support measures over the past week. The pillars are direct funding for OSS maintainers, a total of $600,000 invested in the Rust ecosystem, the launch of an AI-assisted security-fix program called Patch the Planet, and an expansion of its maintainer-focused Codex for OSS program.
