A Single INDEX.md File Makes Hermes Agent 10x Faster on Tasks

A simple optimization technique for Nous Research's autonomous "Hermes Agent" — placing a single "INDEX.md" file in each folder — is drawing attention within the developer community for dramatically speeding up task processing. In one case, a task that previously took about two minutes and involved opening seven wrong files was reduced to roughly 10 seconds after adding INDEX.md. In another, a brand-color lookup reportedly dropped from 1 minute 12 seconds to 22 seconds.
