On July 7, 2026, Meta unveiled Muse Image, the first image-generation model from Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), rolling it out in the Meta AI app and Instagram Stories (US), among others. The feature lets users tag a public Instagram account's username in a prompt to generate AI images using that account's public photos as a visual reference, and public profiles are enabled by default — a point that has drawn scrutiny.
