On July 9, 2026, OpenAI introduced ChatGPT Work, a work-focused agent within ChatGPT, and at the same time significantly upgraded its Computer Use capability. The key changes are a picture-in-picture (PiP) mode that lets users watch the agent operate in real time, and faster execution powered by GPT-5.6.
