Anthropic reopened global access to its top-tier model "Claude Fable 5" on July 1, 2026, after U.S. export controls were lifted. Through July 7, paid plans can allocate up to 50% of their weekly usage limit to Fable 5, and continue with usage credits beyond that (Redeploying Claude Fable 5). Users on paid plans (Pro/Max/Team/Enterprise) can access it immediately via the claude.ai web app, mobile app and Claude Code, while restoration is underway across AWS Bedrock and other cloud providers.
