Meta on July 9, 2026, released Muse Spark 1.1, an update to its proprietary LLM, and simultaneously opened a public preview of the Meta Model API that lets developers use the model directly. The new model is available in Thinking mode via the Meta AI app and meta.ai, and new API accounts receive $20 in free credits. It marks Meta's first paid AI model aimed at developers, distinct from the Llama series.
