China is accelerating the mass deployment and production of humanoid robots at a national scale to counter its shrinking population and labor shortage. UBTECH's "Walker S2" has been delivered in batches of several hundred units to factories run by BYD, Geely, FAW-VW and Foxconn, with the world's first mass humanoid robot delivery ramping up from around November 2025. Total orders are said to exceed 800 million yuan.
