UMA, a Paris-based startup led by former Tesla scientist Rémi Cadene, on July 7, 2026 revealed plans to produce Northstar, a lightweight humanoid robot for manufacturing plants, logistics warehouses and homes. The company is already in talks with more than 50 potential customers over use cases and is prioritizing the European market.
