NVIDIA has disclosed that four of Japan's largest financial institutions — Mizuho, SMFG, Rakuten Bank and MUFG NICOS — are working with the company to build so-called "AI factories" that turn regulated banking data into usable intelligence. The effort centers on NVIDIA's Nemotron open models and its Agent Toolkit, marking a shift for Japanese lenders from years of evaluating artificial intelligence toward standing up the underlying infrastructure to run it at scale.
