Emergent, an India-born startup building an AI "vibe-coding" platform, has raised $70 million in a Series B round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Khosla Ventures, tripling its valuation to $300 million post-money. The deal, reported in late January, marks one of the more prominent bets on a new class of tools that let people build software by describing what they want in plain language.
