Meta Platforms is internally developing a cloud business that would sell access to its AI infrastructure compute and Llama models to outside companies. If realized, it would open a new front of direct competition with established cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. The effort, referred to as "Meta Compute," is said to plan offering AI computing power (GPUs/servers) and access to Llama, though no launch timing, pricing or product specifications have been announced, and it currently remains at the planning and development stage.
