Meta Platforms is planning a cloud business to sell spare computing power from its AI infrastructure, along with access to AI models, to external customers, according to reports on July 1, 2026. The move would open a new front of competition against established cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
