Security firm Sygnia has published an analysis of a case in which a lone attacker used an AI-assisted workflow to seize control of an AWS environment, moving from initial access to broad compromise in roughly 72 hours. No zero-days or novel malware were involved; the hallmark was the rapid chaining of well-known cloud attack techniques. According to the analysis, the victim was an unnamed large global enterprise, and the attacker sought extortion leveraging control of the infrastructure.
