Anthropic has suspended access to its frontier 'Claude Mythos' family following a US government export control directive issued on national security grounds. On June 12, 2026, in addition to halting access for foreign users (including non-US nationals and Anthropic staff residing inside or outside the US), an emergency suspension was applied to all users.
