Google is giving AI coding agents a way to check their own work inside a live Chrome browser, closing a longstanding gap between code that agents generate and code that actually runs. The capability, branded "Chrome DevTools for agents," was demonstrated again this week at Google I/O Connect India by Chrome Developer Relations Engineer Matthias Rohmer, who showed how connecting agents to Chrome's developer tooling lets them reproduce potential issues in a real browser rather than guessing from static source alone.
