Google is pushing its Search experience further from answering questions to completing tasks, announcing an expansion of Connected Apps in AI Mode that now links to third-party services including YouTube Music, Instacart and Canva. The company detailed the update in a July 16, 2026 official blog post, positioning AI Mode as a place where users can not only get answers but also act on them directly within Search.
