Google Releases Nano Banana 2 Lite, a Fast Image Model at ~5 Seconds

Google DeepMind has released a new image-generation line, "Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite Image" (known as Nano Banana 2 Lite), featuring fast generation of about 4-5 seconds per image at low cost, available immediately via Google AI Studio and the api. The launch was made alongside the video generation and editing model "Gemini Omni Flash," with details laid out on the official blog.
