Microsoft AI announced on June 26, 2026 that its in-house coding-focused model "MAI-Code-1-Flash" is now generally available (GA) for GitHub Copilot Business and GitHub Copilot Enterprise. Business users can select the model from the Visual Studio Code model picker and Auto picker.
