A report from online video-editing service Kapwing, "The TikTok AI Slop Report," found that 59% of videos (294 of 500) shown on the "For You" page of new TikTok accounts were judged to be low-quality "AI slop." The study was published as the result of a manual analysis of 10,742 TikTok videos across 20 categories. The data reflects May 2026, and several outlets reported on it in mid-June.
