Apple said on June 29, 2026 that it is releasing security updates earlier than usual to address the threat of AI-driven cyberattacks, shipping iOS 26.5.2 and related updates ahead of schedule. The company told Reuters it had brought forward fixes that were originally bundled for the upcoming iOS 26.6, releasing them instead as iOS 26.5.2 / iPadOS 26.5.2, macOS Tahoe 26.5.2 and Safari 26.5.2, according to the report.
