A cybersecurity coalition called "Athena," led by Chainguard, launched on June 15, 2026, bringing companies together to fix and respond to open-source software (OSS) vulnerabilities surfaced by AI models. More than two dozen firms, including JPMorgan Chase, Cisco Systems and Cloudflare, are taking part, aiming to patch AI-discovered flaws before attackers can exploit them.
