Google DeepMind and Apptronik said that, alongside the expansion of the Austin-based "Robot Park" data-collection facility, real-world data gathered by the latest humanoid platform "Apollo 2" will be used to train and strengthen Google DeepMind's robotics foundation model, Gemini Robotics. Apptronik unveiled the Robot Park expansion and Apollo 2 on June 30, and Google DeepMind framed the move as part of its research partnership.
