NVIDIA has introduced Cosmos 3 Edge, a compact 4-billion-parameter open "world foundation model" designed to run directly on edge hardware rather than in the cloud, targeting robotics, autonomous vehicles and vision-based AI agents. The model was unveiled in Tokyo alongside an expansion of NVIDIA's physical AI ecosystem in Japan, and its weights, post-training recipes and code have been made openly available.
