Memory maker Micron Technology said on July 9, 2026 that it will raise planned U.S. semiconductor manufacturing and R&D investment through 2035 to more than $250 billion, up from about $200 billion previously, to meet surging demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and advanced DRAM driven by generative AI.
