Vint Cerf Backs DNSid, a DNS-Anchored Identity Registry to Hold AI Agents Accountable Online

Vint Cerf, the co-inventor of TCP/IP and Google's recently departed Chief Internet Evangelist, has joined an effort to give autonomous AI agents verifiable identities on the open internet. On July 15, 2026, Cerf revealed he is advising Innovation Labs, a subsidiary of DNS registry operator Identity Digital, on a plan to make AI agents identifiable and accountable as they proliferate across the web.
