A custom node called "ComfyUI-UniRig," developed by PozzettiAndrea, has been released, enabling automated character mesh rigging—skeleton extraction and skinning—for 3D models directly inside the node-based AI workflow environment ComfyUI. The extension draws on the logic of the automatic rigging framework UniRig and, for humanoid characters, wraps Make it Animatable (MIA) in a self-contained package. It bundles Blender, with installation recommended via ComfyUI Manager by searching for "UniRig."
