Cursor (Anysphere), the company that rose fast with its AI code editor, is internally developing a general-purpose AI agent called "Sand" that would handle everyday work beyond coding, according to a report by The Information. The move signals Cursor's search for growth beyond coding tools and could put it in direct competition with Anthropic's "Claude Cowork" and OpenAI's "ChatGPT Work."
