Microsoft Adds Event-Triggered Tasks and Local Browser Automation to Copilot Cowork

Microsoft has rolled out two new capabilities in Copilot Cowork this month: tasks that automatically kick off when specific work events occur, and browser automation that runs locally inside Microsoft Edge. The update, detailed in a Microsoft 365 Copilot blog post, extends the company's push to move Copilot from a chat assistant toward a system that plans and executes multi-step work on a user's behalf.
