Baidu's chief financial officer, Henry He, has laid out how the company operates as a vertically integrated "full-stack AI player," spanning its own chips, foundation models, cloud and self-driving, in a publicly released podcast. Rather than a new product launch, the segment reframed an existing business structure that combines Baidu's in-house Kunlunxin chips, the ERNIE foundation models, its cloud infrastructure and the Apollo Go robotaxi service (video).
