A Year On, Sacks Defends Trump's AI Strategy and Warns Against Deviation

David Sacks, the former White House AI and Crypto Czar, has reaffirmed his defense of "America's AI Action Plan" unveiled in July 2025, arguing the United States must stay the course on a strategy centered on innovation, infrastructure, energy and exports. Sacks said President Trump was "exactly right" when he declared a year ago that America was in a global AI race and that winning it required being pro-innovation, pro-infrastructure, pro-energy and pro-export, adding that "we deviate from that strategy at our peril."
