On June 30, 2026, Anthropic released Claude Science, a new AI workbench for scientific researchers, as an open beta. Rather than a new model, it is a dedicated app built on existing Claude models that lets researchers handle literature analysis, multi-step analysis, figure and manuscript drafting, and verification of calculations and citations through natural language. According to the official announcement, outputs are fully linked to their code, execution environment, and message history, leaving reproducible and auditable artifacts.
