A Gallup study released on June 18 found that U.S. tech-industry workers who use AI less than once a month are three times more likely to be laid off than those who use it frequently. The layoff risk stood at 18% for low-AI users versus 6% for frequent users, and the pattern held even after adjusting for age, education, industry and time since the layoff.
