House Republicans Propose 7-Day Reporting Rule for AI Critical Incidents

U.S. Rep. Nathaniel Moran, a Texas Republican, introduced the "AI Incident Reporting Act" on June 25, requiring AI model developers to report critical incidents, security breaches and dangerous behavior to the U.S. Commerce Department within seven days of discovery.
