On July 9, 2026, Meta unveiled Muse Spark 1.1, a multimodal foundation model built by Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), citing improvements in tool- and computer-use agentic workflows, coding, and multimodal understanding alongside greater cost efficiency. The model is offered as a public preview through the Meta Model API for developers, and is immediately available in the "Thinking" mode of the Meta AI app and meta.ai. It was also added the same day to the third-party benchmark platform Design Arena.
