Anthropic Adds Claude to Apple's Foundation Models Framework, Callable Directly in Swift
On June 10, Anthropic released a Swift package that lets developers call Claude through Apple's Foundation Models framework, enabling iOS/macOS app builders to use the framework's standard API for multi-step reasoning, code generation, and longer-context processing. Claude can be handled within the same structure as Apple's own on-device and Private Cloud Compute models, with support spanning iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and visionOS 27.
