In early July 2026, The Information estimated that Microsoft's sum-of-the-parts valuation could reach as much as $3.8 trillion, well above its current enterprise value of roughly $2.9 trillion. By valuing each business — cloud/AI, Office/Productivity, Gaming and LinkedIn — separately and adding them up, the analysis arrives at about $500 per share, or a range of $3.5 trillion to $3.8 trillion. Yet that premium is not reflected in the current share price, and the gap, the outlet argued, mirrors investor doubts about the recoverability of AI-related spending and the disruptive impact of AI on legacy software businesses.
