A lightweight tool called "squad" that lets AI coding agents from different vendors collaborate through a single command line has been published on GitHub as mco-org/squad. It enables terminal-native AI agents such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI and OpenCode to exchange messages and tasks with each other via simple CLI commands, with the repository made public in late June 2026.
