Sharp and TCL each announced different generative AI features for televisions on May 14, 2026. Sharp will launch a conversational character service called "AQUOS AI" for its new AQUOS sets on May 23, while TCL will introduce Google's Gemini AI on its 2026 Google TV models ahead of other markets in Japan.
