Factory.ai Reports 43% Cost Savings From Its AI Coding Model Router in Early Production

Factory.ai says its recently launched Factory Router, which automatically picks the most cost-effective large language model for each coding task, has cut aggregate costs by 43% versus premium Claude Opus rates after several weeks in production. The company also reports that 61% of sessions now run at least 80% cheaper than they would on a top-tier frontier model alone, without requiring manual configuration and, it claims, without sacrificing output quality.
