Google Releases Gemini 3.6 Flash and 3.5 Flash-Lite, Cutting Token Use and Latency for AI Agents

Google on July 21, 2026 released two new models in its Gemini Flash line, Gemini 3.6 Flash and Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, aimed squarely at running production-grade AI agents at scale with lower token consumption and reduced latency. Both models became generally available the same day across the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Android Studio, Google Antigravity, and the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, with a Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber variant also referenced.
