Zero, a terminal-based AI coding agent designed to be fully owned and controlled by developers, has been released as an open-source project. It lets users freely switch among more than 25 providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek and Ollama, and routes file writes, shell commands and network access through its own permission and sandbox layer. The project is implemented in Go 1.25+ and is published on GitHub under the MIT License.
